Caring for your husband or wife at home
When you are the one doing the driving, the lifting and the remembering, a visit that comes to the house is one less thing to arrange.
Most people who call us are arranging care for someone else. Often that someone is a husband or a wife, and the person arranging it is the other half of the household: the one who fills the pill organizer, drives to every appointment, and has not had a straightforward week in a while.
A clinic visit costs you more than it costs most families. There is no one else at home to wait with him. Getting her into the car is the hard part, and doing it takes the whole morning. If a visit runs long you are late for everything else, and if it goes badly you are the one managing that too.
We come to the house instead. The visit happens at the kitchen table, you are in the room for it, and nothing about the day has to be rearranged around it.
What that changes day to day
No trip to arrange
The visit is at home. Nobody has to be moved, dressed for the weather or helped into a car.
Labs and imaging come too
We order mobile diagnostics to the house, including labs, x-ray, ultrasound and EKG, and review the results ourselves.
One person reviewing everything
We go through what he actually takes, not what the chart says, and we can see the bottles on the counter while we do it.
Electronic visits by video
For the things that do not need hands, a video call can settle it without anyone leaving the house.
You are in the room, and that matters
You know things the chart does not. You know that the cough started after the new prescription, that she has stopped using the walker indoors, that he sleeps in the recliner now. In a clinic you get a few minutes at the end to mention it. At home you are simply there, and that is where most of the useful information comes from.

Home health and us
If a home health agency is already involved, we work alongside them: they carry out the plan of care, and the orders and paperwork that plan needs have to come from a provider. We keep their team in the loop on what we find and what we change.
You can both be patients
Plenty of our patients are couples. If both of you need a provider, both of you can be seen at home.
They are two appointments rather than one, because each of you is a patient in your own right, with your own visit and your own record. Both of them happen in your living room instead of two trips to two clinics.
We accept their insurance
